Runner and Rider Information



This year all events will start and finish at Pomingalarna reserve.  The marathon starts at 7:15am with a 7:05am pre-race briefing. 

The cutoff for the marathon course 2:30pm.  

Any runners exiting Pomingalarna reserve after 11:15am will be removed from the marathon as you will not finish before the 2:30pm cutoff.

An early start at 6:45am is available on request to anyone who is 60yrs+ or those who can demonstrate that they will take longer. Contact Peter Fitzpatrick to pre-organise. M: 0428 423 633

Bib collection is at Pomingalarna reserve from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and from 6am on Sunday.

Every competitor must wear the race number provided on their front and it must be visible at all times. Numbers are specific to an event and a competitor. If a competitor changes their event with the race organiser then they will be issued with a new race number.

Anyone entering the mountain bike event on Sunday morning of the event must already have a day licence. 


A runner can participate in both the relay and the marathon by being the first of the relay team runners.

The runner passes the relay ankle band to the next team runner at the relevant changeover point, but continues the run (independently of the other relay team members) to the finish.

A marathon runner who participates in a relay team must register for both the marathon and the marathon relay events.

Environmentally Friendly CupS

Wagga Trail marathon is heading towards being  This is something we are passionate about and believe will help save our beautiful areas so we can keep on enjoy trail running.

This year we are providing these free reusable collapsible cups to all half marathon and marathon entrants. Runners will need to carry these with them to get water and soft drink from the aid stations.

There will be plastic cups provided for the 5km, 10km and kids run on the Saturday. We will have extra cups available at the merchandise tent over the weekend for $5 each.

Pomingalarna Reserve


Pomingalarna Reserve is located along part of the Wiradjuri Walking Track and is popular with bushwalkers, runners, bike riders and nature enthusiasts. Native bushland surrounds mean wildlife abounds with plenty of kangaroos, wallabies, lizards and bird life to admire.

Pomingalarna Reserve can be accessed via exiting the Sturt highway West Wagga Wagga on to McNickle Road and then left on to Bagley Drive. The entrance is approx. 200m from the Wagga City Golf Club entrance.
